AML Compliance

In alignment with the UAE's commitment to AML/CFT legislation, Creative City has implemented enhanced procedures and tools to assist investors in meeting regulatory requirements promptly. These efforts support initiatives and operational plans outlined in the National Strategy on Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (2020-2023) and the National Action Plan.

Creative City is dedicated to continually enhancing the government system to effectively mitigate the risks of money laundering, terrorist financing, and support for illegal organizations.

Ultimate Beneficial

Owner (UBO) Declaration

All Creative City’s registered establishments must submit the registers of UBO’s and Partners / Shareholder and Nominee Directors by filling UBO Declaration form for existing investors and at the time of License Registration for new applications in complaince with Decision No. (58) of 2020 Regulating the Beneficial Owner Procedures. Failure to submit details of the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) will result in fines and penalties imposed by the Ministry of Economy.

The UBO Law applies to all establishments licensed and registered in the UAE, except for those that are wholly owned by a local or federal government body or listed in the stock market. The UAE Cabinet Decision No. 53/2021 establishes penalties to be imposed in the event of failure to submit the Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) as follow:

Yes, you can manage your company and run the business in any other emirate, and if you want to rent an office, please apply for a no-objection certificate through our customer service team, requirements must be fulfilled.

1- Submitting the application and paying the fees

2- Creative City reviews the application and applies for initial approval

3- Signing the incorporation contracts and completing the beneficial ownership data(UBO)

4- Issuing the trade license and related documents

The following digital documents will be sent to you:

No, all company documents  are digital now! It will be sent via email after you sign the Article of Incorporation electronically.

Of course, you can open a bank account for a company with a Creative City license. Documents and procedures are subject to the bank’s requirements and Creative City can assist you in this regard.

Taxes are applied on partner based on the company's net income or profits. All companies, including companies registered in free zones within the UAE, must register on the Emirates Tax platform via the Federal Tax Authority website (please visit the website below to learn about the registration steps and the types of companies subject to taxes).

  -  The company's net income is less than 375,000 dirhams, the tax imposed is 0%.

  -  The company's net income is more than 375,000 dirhams, the tax imposed is 9%.

 

 

If the foreign company owns a branch in UAE and generates income within the country, it is subject to corporate taxes.

We also do not require any documents as proof of the capital amount.

Establishing a company does not require the client’s personal presence, as we can complete all licensing application procedures remotely. However, the client must present the necessary papers (entry stamp or tourist visa) from the previous visit to extract the unified identification number (UID).

If you have not visited the Emirates before, the Creative City Free Zone can help you apply for a tourist/visit visa to obtain a unified identification number and then follow the licensing process.
